$10,000

Choreographer Nicole Cousineau collaborated with her husband and visual artist Jorge Cousineau to produce the dance film Here. The film, created to accompany Nicole Cousineau’s live performance solo Somewhere Close to Now, was inspired by Alan Lightman's novel Einstein's Dreams, which consists of 30 fables describing theoretical realms of time that Einstein could have dreamt while trying to understand the mysteries of relativity, space, and time. After its premiere in Philadelphia, Here appeared at the James A. Michener Art Museum as part of the exhibition Lucid Dreaming, and as part of the national dance film platform Dances Made to Order.
