The Arden mounted Assassins by Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman for the theater's 20th Anniversary season in 2007. In a time of national turmoil and in a city rampant with gun violence, this musical explored the personalities behind nine individuals who attempted to assassinate a President of the United States and the dangerous sense of entitlement that can result from misguided pursuits of the American dream. The show featured performances by Ben Dibble, Jeffrey Coon, Mary Martello, Scott Greer, and Pew Fellow James Sugg. Jorge Cousineau, also a Pew Fellow, was the sound and projection designer.
