Dance Happens Here 2007

The Philadelphia Folklore Project presented the sixth iteration of the Dance Happens Here initiative, which provided technical assistance, performance opportunities, and professional development services to culturally diverse artists working in folk and traditional arts, in Philadelphia and beyond. The dance concerts showcased two percussive dance ensembles, the tap dance company Germaine Ingram and Ensemble and Flamenco del Encuentro. Presented at the Painted Bride Art Center, the project included master classes with Pew Fellow Germaine Ingram and Spanish flamenco artist Antonio Hidalgo.
