Through documentary filmmaking centered on Black, Brown, and Indigenous people, Duncan-Asé uses storytelling to amplify community voices and themes of remembrance, reflection, and affirmation. Her films chronicle narratives ranging from intimate conversations in hair salons (Let Me See You, 2024), to a mother striving to save her son from gang violence (Queen Mother: Falaka Fattah and the House of Umoja, work in progress), to the legacy of a Black female opera company founder during the Jim Crow era (Love Letter to Lessie, 2024). Duncan-Asé is founder and CEO of Love Now Media, an empathy-centered multi-platform media company. She earned an MFA in media and communication arts from the City College of New York and a BBA from Temple University’s Fox School of Business.
