Sheila Hicks: 50 Years, a touring exhibition organized by the Addison Gallery of American Art in Andover, Massachusetts, is the first major retrospective to honor the singular accomplishments of this exceptional artist. Hicks' work has been at the forefront of experimentation in two- and three-dimensional works in fibers and spans the worlds of craft and industrial design. To spur dialogue around the work, the Institute of Contemporary Art organized a series of lectures to complement the exhibition that brought together scientists, artists, designers, historians, and architects.
