Jazz Bridge will present Philadelphia Real Book Concerts - New Music in Jazz and Blues, a four-part concert series headlined by legendary jazz guitarists Pat Martino and Monnette Sudler, free jazz pianist Dave Burrell, and saxophonist Jimmy Heath. Inspired by Jazz Bridge's Philadelphia Real Book—the first published collection of compositions by the city's jazz artists—the concert series will celebrate the region's rich jazz heritage, and aim to stimulate a local jazz renaissance. The first two concerts will feature regional jazz/blues composers spanning various musical styles that have been nurtured in Philadelphia since the 1960s, including hard bop and avant-garde jazz. The following concerts will highlight singers/songwriters and music thematically focused on the people, places, and hidden histories of the region.

Additional unrestricted funds are added to each grant for general operating support.
