Established in 2004, Jazz Bridge is a hybrid nonprofit organization joining performance presentation with professional support services for regional jazz and blues artists. Jazz Bridge presents nearly 50 concerts per season, to build an awareness of the Philadelphia jazz sound throughout the city and beyond. The organization also assists artists coping with emergencies involving health, legal, financial, personal, and professional needs. In 2016, Jazz Bridge received Center support to present Philadelphia Real Book Concerts – New Music in Jazz and Blues, a four-part concert series inspired by the Philadelphia Real Book, the first published collection of compositions by the city's jazz artists. A 2018 grant supports a discovery process exploring how to meaningfully preserve, interpret, and share Philadelphia’s expansive jazz history, in partnership with local jazz organizations Philadelphia Jazz Project and Philadelphia Clef Club.
