Rebecca Taichman is an Obie Award-winning theater director, whose work has been presented at theaters across the country, including American Repertory Theater, Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, The Old Globe, and ACT. For her direction of Indecent, a play she co-created with playwright Paula Vogel, Taichman has been nominated for a 2017 Tony Award. She has directed a number of off-Broadway productions, including Sarah Ruhl’s The Oldest Boy at Lincoln Center, Stage Kiss at Playwrights Horizons, and Telemann’s Orpheus at New York City Opera, as well as numerous productions for Shakespeare Theatre Company, such as The Winter’s Tale, Twelfth Night, and The Taming of the Shrew. She is a Henry Crown Fellow at The Aspen Institute, a graduate of the Yale School of Drama, and currently teaches at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Yale University, and the University of Maryland. In 2016 and 2017, she served as an LOI panelist in Performance.
