Natalie Ball is a Modoc and Klamath artist based in Chiloquin, Oregon. Her work has been presented by Portland Art Museum, Disjecta Contemporary Art Center, SOMArts, and IAIA Museum of Contemporary Native Arts, among others. In 2016, she received Oregon Arts Commission’s Joan Shipley Award, and participated in an artist residency at the Institute of American Indian Arts. Ball has received numerous awards and scholarships, including an Oregon Arts Commission Individual Artist Fellowship, the Santo Foundation Individual Artist Award, and The Centurion Award. She regularly presents lectures on contemporary American Indian art at institutions such as the University of Oregon, Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian. Ball received her MMVA at Massey University in New Zealand, and her MFA in painting from the Yale School of Art. In 2017, she served as an LOI panelist in Exhibitions & Public Interpretation.
