Marýa Wethers.

Marýa Wethers is a dancer, curator, and producer based in New York. She is the director of international initiatives at Movement Research, and is currently producing projects by Angela’s Pulse/Dancing While Black, David Thomson, and Olivier Tarpaga. Wethers previously served as a programmer for New York Live Arts, and as international project director for the Suitcase Fund, where she developed a cultural exchange program with contemporary dance artists in the US and Africa. From 2003 to 2007, she curated the Out of Space @BRIC Studio series for Danspace Project. As a dancer, Wethers has worked with Deborah Hay, Daria Faïn, and Faye Driscoll, and her own work has been presented at The Chocolate Factory, Danspace Project, Movement Research, and The Yard. She has served on selection panels for several organizations, including the National Endowment for the Arts, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, and Brooklyn Arts Council. In 2017, she served as an LOI panelist in Performance.
