Elizabeth Huston is a harpist, educator, and producer of contemporary performance events. With a mission to educate composers about the harp, Huston established a workshop series teaching composers how to write for the harp in inventive ways. She is the founder of A Change of Harp, an organization dedicated to bringing contemporary music to new audiences, commissioning new works for the harp, and performing existing works by American composers. In collaboration with Bowerbird, Huston created the Arcana New Music Ensemble, and she developed a harp program for the music education organization Play On, Philly!, as well as a harp summer program for Philadelphia youth. In 2017, Huston received Center support to present KLANG, a daylong series of 21 chamber music compositions, written by pioneering composer Karlheinz Stockhausen.
