Angélica Negrón is a composer and multi-instrumentalist who writes music for accordions, robotic instruments, toys, and electronics, as well as chamber ensembles and orchestras. Her music has been performed at the Bang on a Can Marathon, the Ecstatic Music Festival, and the 2016 NY PHIL BIENNIAL. She has collaborated with groups such as Sō Percussion, American Composers Orchestra (ACO), and Face the Music, among others. Negrón has written music for films, theater, and modern dance, and she frequently collaborates with Y No Había Luz, a Puerto Rico-based experimental theater company. Negrón was a 2014–15 Van Lier Fellow at American Composers Orchestra, and recipient of a 2016 Artists' Fellowship from the New York Foundation for the Arts. In 2018, she served as a Center panelist in Performance.
