Andy Chan Donald is the associate artistic director at the American Conservatory Theater (ACT) in San Francisco, overseeing the production of the mainstage season and the development of new work. At ACT, he has worked on productions of The Great Leap, Seascape, A Walk on the Moon, Vietgone, Hamlet, and A Thousand Splendid Suns. He also serves on the Theatre Bay Area board. Previously, he was producer of artistic development and community programming at New Jersey Performing Arts Center. He was also artistic director of Naked Angels, a theater company in New York City; a producing associate at New York Shakespeare Festival/Public Theater; and a co-founder of the Charlie B. Theater Company in Los Angeles. Donald received an MFA from Columbia University and a BFA from the New York University Tisch School of the Arts. He served as a Performance panelist at the Center in 2019.
