Philadelphia Contemporary presents art in a variety of disciplines with a mission to “create a globally oriented hub for contemporary art that is deeply rooted in the diverse communities of Philadelphia.” Recent projects include podcast series Love Jawns: A Mixtape, online video series Talking Breakfast, and exhibitions Unfolding at Atelier Art Gallery and Double Rainbows at Please Touch Museum. For 100 People Listening: a shared decade, supported by a 2018 Center grant, the organization will work with five Philadelphia organizations to instill empathetic listening practices within those organizations’ existing operations.
