DataArts, formerly known as the Cultural Data Project, seeks to strengthen the nonprofit arts and cultural sector's vitality, performance, and public impact by equipping organizations to collect, learn from, and use data effectively. Its flagship service, The Cultural Data Profile, is used annually by thousands of cultural nonprofits to report their financial and programmatic information. In 2016, DataArts received a Center Advancement grant to develop a new, user-friendly technology platform that will enhance and streamline its data collection and analysis tools.
