The Conservation Center for Arts & Historic Artifacts (CCAHA) is one of the country's largest non-profit conservation labs. The organization specializes in the conservation of art and artifacts on paper: from ancient manuscripts to modern photographs and the spiral-bound notebook with Bruce Springsteen's handwritten lyrics to "Born to Run." CCAHA also train organizations and private individuals on the proper care of artifacts. Beyond its technical expertise, CCAHA is also a leader in innovative business development, helping other organizations find funding for conservation projects and providing assistance in grant writing and major gifts support. A recent grant from the Center allowed CCAHA to implement a Kickstarter-like fundraising platform, which will aid organizations in using the Internet and social media to conserve their greatest treasures.
