PRISM Quartet, along with soprano Tony Arnold and pianist Arturo O’Farrill, perform works by four composers—Martin Bresnick, George Lewis, Juri Seo, and O’Farrill—that explore the contemporary meaning of walls by giving musical form to questions about identity, community, division, and freedom. The composers drew inspiration for their pieces from poems of their choosing, drawing from Robert Frost, Keorapetse Kgositsile, Waly Salomão, and Guillermo Gómez-Peña.
The musicians will also perform this concert at Bryn Mawr College on March 21 and 22.
