Gregory Rowe.

We at the Center are deeply saddened that our colleague and friend Greg Rowe passed away on October 3, after a 14-month battle with cancer. Greg was the director of culture initiatives and deputy director of the Philadelphia Program at The Pew Charitable Trusts from 2009 to 2012 and began work at Pew in 1997 as a program officer in culture. He was instrumental in the conception and development of The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage, and we enjoyed a close working relationship with him for more than seven years.

Greg was generous, smart, unfailingly kind, and he loved to laugh—all qualities that made him both a wonderful human being, and a pleasure to work alongside. His spirit and his heart were huge. We will miss him very much.
