Works by designer Jenny Sabin (2010) are on display as part of an exhibition titled Naturalizing Architecture at the FRAC Centre in Orléans, France. Sabin is presenting two distinct but related bodies of work, one stemming from her transdisciplinary project titled eSkin and the other from her exploration of digital ceramics. One of the pieces, titled PolyMorph, is composed of 1400+ digitally produced and individually hand-cast ceramic components, interwoven and networked to form a large suspended structure. The exhibition will be open through February 2, 2014. More information >

The great jazz bandleader Sun Ra lives on in the current edition of the ever-changing Sun Ra Arkestra, now led by alto saxophonist-woodwindist Marshall Allen (2012), a founding member of the Arkestra since the late 1950s. On the centenary of Sun Ra's birth, Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City welcomes the Sun Ra Arkestra to the Allen Room for the first time with a one-night-only performance on October 5, 2013.
