The Philadelphia Museum of Art hosts an opening reception for the first US commission of Yael Bartana’s new exhibition And Europe Will be Stunned, featuring the site-specific performance Bury Our Weapons, Not Our Bodies! Bartana, an Israeli filmmaker and installation artist, takes the complex history of Jewish-Polish identity as a point of departure in the immersive installation, addressing themes of nationhood, memory, and belonging that are all integral to her work.
