Join WXPN for a free concert by Nathan Williams & The Zydeco Cha-Chas, and dance lessons from dance instructor Harold Guillory from Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Supported by The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage, Zydeco Crossroads captures the vitality of contemporary zydeco music, with project highlights that include free concerts at World Cafe Live; Philadelphia Folk Festival performances; community events with local music and dance group Allons Danser; and the premiere of a newly commissioned zydeco documentary by filmmaker Robert Mugge. This event at Penn's Landing Catering is free. Doors open at 7 p.m., dance lessons begin at 7:30 p.m., and Williams will play two sets starting at 8:30 p.m.
