In conjunction with the Center-funded project Words Adorned, Al-Bustan Seeds of Culture will present a free music demonstration with renowned Palestinian vocalist Dalal Abu Amneh and Al-Bustan's Takht Ensemble.
Words Adorned features a series of performances and workshops leading up to the premiere of two new compositions by Arab-American composers Kareem Roustom and 2013 Pew Fellow Kinan Abou-Afach on December 5. The commissioned works will explore new avenues of musical language and will be performed by Al-Bustan's Takht Ensemble with The Crossing, a Philadelphia-based Western choir, and Dalal Abu Amneh, a Palestinian vocalist.
This event is free; no RSVP required.
