Arcadia Exhibitions hosts a virtual studio visit with artist-in-residence Polly Apfelbaum as she creates ceramic works for the forthcoming exhibition Polly Apfelbaum: For the Love of Una Hale. See the artist at work and ask questions about her process.

This webinar is free and open to the public.

A Guggenheim Fellow and Rome Prize recipient, Apfelbaum uses found references associated with craft traditions to create sculptural objects and sprawling floor-based installations that convey the artist’s fascination with color, craft, gendered labor, and the everyday. For the Love of Una Hale will include her works from this residency, influenced by Pennsylvania German art and culture, alongside her installation of a large hand-woven rug and custom wallpaper.
