The Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) at the University of Pennsylvania offers a curator-led tour of the exhibition Ulysses Jenkins: Without Your Interpretation, the first major retrospective of the work of pioneering video artist Ulysses Jenkins.
Co-curators Meg Onli of the ICA and Erin Christovale of Los Angeles’ Hammer Museum share insights into their curatorial process while highlighting key elements of Jenkins’ work and artistic process.
The exhibition includes Jenkins’ video pieces, collaborative works, mural paintings, photography, and the restaging of two of his major performance works, Bay Window (1991) and Talking Hut (1994).
Space is limited and registration is required.
