The Wilma Theater presents a world premiere adaptation of There by Lebanese American poet Etel Adnan. Created by visual artist Rosa Barba and director Blanka Zizka, the work mines the poem's themes of personal and community identity, displacement, and political dissonance. Under Zizka’s direction and premiering as part of the 2019 Fringe Festival, the work is devised and performed by members of the Wilma’s HotHouse Company of actors, as they explore how the body interacts with language and the interplay of meaning and sound.
