Philadelphia Theatre Company presents the world premiere of The Tattooed Lady, a new musical with book, music, and lyrics by Max Vernon, book by Erin Courtney, and direction and development by Ellie Hayman.
A meditation on shattering taboos and overcoming adversity, The Tattooed Lady tells the story of an aging former sideshow performer forced to confront her past while bridging a generational divide with her granddaughter.
The musical celebrates the resilience of women and the power of personal autonomy.
