Tangles in Time, presented by Thomas Jefferson University with Theater of Witness, is the culmination of a two-year collaborative project, resulting in a new performance work. Working with ARTZ Philadelphia and Theater of Witness, the university enlisted patients and caregivers in an arts-based listening series to foster conversation about the lived experience of dementia. Led by Theater of Witness founder and artistic director Teya Sepinuck, the original production combines live performance with original music, film, and visual imagery, and is performed by people living with dementia as well as care partners and health professionals, who reveal true stories of love, loss, illness, and caring.
