Reimagining performance through the poetic frame of a school, The School for Temporary Liveness mobilizes educational structures to generate new forms of knowledge and spectatorship. Presented by University of the Arts School of Dance, the performance experience occupies the Philadelphia Art Alliance building and comprises three zones of encounter: The Library, The Classroom, and Study Hall.

Audience members discover “new bodily knowledges through a contemporary social ritual” with Isabel Lewis, “read, and be read in return” in nora chipaumire’s three-part live-performance album, and learn through tutoring sessions led by expert practitioners, artists, and scholars, describes University of the Arts School of Dance.
