South Asian American Digital Archive’s (SAADA) Revolution Remix concert brings together South Asian musicians from across the country. The event celebrates the launch of SAADA’s sound tour of Philadelphia, which explores the overlooked stories of South Asian immigrants from the 1780s to the present day. The performers include award-winning saxophonist Rudresh Mahanthappa, storyteller and musician Zain Alam, folk-pop musician Anju, composer Arooj Aftab, and hip hop artist Mandeep Sethi (SETI X).
The sound tour will be available online, where visitors can download the self-guided tour and view relevant archival materials, such as photographs, letters, and other ephemera.
