The Pursuit: 50 Years in the Fight for LGBT Rights, a new documentary by Ilana Trachtman, produced by the Independence Visitor Center Corporation and WHYY, will make its broadcast debut on WHYY-TV on June 23. Illuminating the 50-year history and progress of the LGBTQ civil rights movement, The Pursuit highlights the powerful experiences of gay rights movement pioneers with interviews, archival images, and footage of leading LGBTQ figures, including activists who marched in the first peaceful demonstration at Independence Hall in 1965.
