As part of the 15-month, multi-phase engagement and exhibition, Hank Willis Thomas: Philly Block Project, the Philadelphia Photo Arts Center will present "The Meadows," a temporary outdoor community arts park on N. American Street. The Meadows will host free artmaking workshops, film screenings, performances, and family-friendly activities every Wednesday night. Stay tuned for a complete schedule of events.

Igniting a dialogue on issues related to gentrification, Philly Block Project invites conceptual artist Hank Willis Thomas to engage the community through public forums and photography. The project culminates in a gallery installation of Thomas' recreation of a city block with a series of 1:1 scale photographs of South Kensington's people and buildings.
