In conjunction with its Center-supported project Playing and Preserving, Partners for Sacred Places presents a free community concert inspired by the importance of the pipe organ as a center of community and musical life. The evening will feature saxophone quartet Project Fusion, Play On, Philly! wind ensemble, and organist Michael Lawrence. The concert is presented in collaboration with Astral Artists and Play On, Philly!
Prior to the concert, audience members are invited to participate in two “Experience Stations” that focus on learning more about the organ. Additional concerts are taking place on November 22 and December 21.
