An ongoing revitalization project supported by the Center, Consumption: A Project on Pearl Street conceived by Rick Lowe, reimagines how Pearl Street, an under-used alley behind Asian Arts Initiative's building, can be transformed into a community space for residents of Philadelphia's Chinatown neighborhood. Led by artists Aletheia Hyun-Jin Shin, Emily Chow Bluck, and Jeff Harley, this two-year exploration was developed with Center support. As part of the project, Asian Arts Initiative presents "Finding Comfort," a narrative installation of home, homelessness, and overcoming and "Who's Who," a portrait series of the stakeholders of Pearl Street Alley, on view through November 28, 2015.

The exhibition opening is part of November First Friday at Asian Arts Initiative and is free to the public.
