As part of Intercultural Journeys’ Center-supported Modupúe | Ibaye project, a three-day exhibition examines the history and contemporary expressions of Yoruba-rooted practices, including language, culture, spiritual practice, and artistic philosophy. The exhibition comprises the movement, music, history, and material culture of Yoruba communities in Philadelphia, with contributions from video artists Laura Sofia Pérez, Aidan Un, and Muthi Reed as well as the project’s leaders, Alex Shaw and Pew Fellows Germaine Ingram and Lela Aisha Jones.
