The Clay Studio presents Making Place Matter, the inaugural exhibition at the organization’s newly opened location in Philadelphia’s South Kensington neighborhood.

Making Place Matter brings together original artworks by ceramists Molly Hatch, Ibrahim Said, and Pew Fellow Kukuli Velarde that contemplate the complex meanings of “place” and consider personal history and cultural memory.

An opening celebration takes place April 23 from 2 to 4 p.m. with free tours and hands-on art projects for all ages.
