In recognition of the 20-year anniversary of 9/11, Pig Iron Theatre Company remounts its movement-theater work Love Unpunished, a contemplative and unsentimental homage to the final moments before the collapse of the World Trade Center.
Without direct reference to the towers, the piece visualizes bodies in motion descending escape stairs, embodying confusion, and trying to stay calm.
The production premiered in the 2006 Fringe Festival with the support of a Center grant.
Directed by Pew Fellows Dan Rothenberg and David Brick and featuring Fellows and original ensemble members Quinn Bauriedel and Dito van Reigersberg, this presentation is part of the 2021 Philadelphia Fringe Festival.
