As part of RAIR's (Recycled Artist in Residency) project Live at the Dump, interdisciplinary artist Martha McDonald presents "Songs of Memory and Forgetting", a site-specific installation and performance at RAIR's recycling facility and artist space in Northeast Philadelphia. Acting as a performative archaeologist, McDonald will lead audiences through an interpretive musical tour of the waste site, while playing original music on repurposed instruments.

Live at the Dump is an interactive, site-specific program that utilizes a series of films, performances, and discussions to increase public awareness of the waste stream and the role of art in shaping social and environmental consciousness.

Performances take place on June 5 and 12 at 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
