“How the West of Ireland Helped to Save Uilleann Bagpiping," an informative talk by Dr. Scott B. Spencer with accompaniment and demonstration by the talented piper Ivan Goff, will be a discussion by Dr. Spencer, the most recent Visiting Research Scholar at the Centre for Irish Studies at the National University of Ireland, Galway, in association with the American Irish Cultural Institute. The discussion will cover the recent history and revival of Uilleann bagpiping.

The lecture will be followed by an evening concert starting at 8 pm featuring piper Ivan Goff and guitarist/singer Eamon O’Leary.
