Le Cargo

In conjunction with its presentation of Brett Bailey's Macbeth, FringeArts presents Le Cargo, a dance work by Congolese choreographer Faustin Linyekula, as part of the curated portion of the 2016 Fringe Festival. Combining personal narratives with the history of violence experienced in his home country, Linyekula's new work is centered on memory, forgetting, and the suppression of memory. Through movement, Le Cargo addresses the legacy of decades of war, terror, fear and the collapse of the economy for Linyekula, his family, and his friends.
