The PRISM Quartet presents Heritage/Evolution, a three-concert series at World Café Live featuring world premieres of new works composed and performed by today's most inventive jazz saxophonists: Steve Lehman, Dave Liebman, Rudresh Mahanthappa, Greg Osby, Tim Ries, and Miguel Zenón.

Heritage/Evolution charts fresh musical territory, drawing on the saxophone's cross-cultural heritage to blend jazz with everything from Western and South Indian classical music to Romani and Latin American folkloric music.

This event is the last New York performance of three concerts in the Heritage/Evolution series and features the work of Dave Liebman and Greg Osby. Osby is a saxophonist, composer, producer, educator, and 2012 Pew Fellow. Liebman is an NEA Master of Jazz whose discography spans nearly 350 records.

Please check the Symphony Space website for information on Heritage/Evolution 1: Steve Lehman and Rudresh Mahanthappa on April 12, and Heritage/Evolution 2: PRISM with Tim Ries and Miguel Zenón on May 9.
