The Great Migration Community Screenings

As a part of Scribe Video Center's ongoing project The Great Migration: A City Transformed (1916-30), a series of community film screenings will be held, highlighting films created through the project. Hosted by community partners throughout the Philadelphia region, including the Free Library, Mother Bethel AME Church, Swarthmore College, Germantown Historical Society, and more.

The Great Migration: A City Transformed is a series of audio and video works exploring the history and impact of the Great Migration (1916–30) on Philadelphia, when blacks fled the South for economic opportunities in the Northern states, giving rise to new African American neighborhoods.
