Kun-Yang Lin/Dancers presents the world premiere of Faith Project/The Door, a performance work that contemplates the relationship between religious practice and movement. Choreographed by Kun-Yang Lin/Dancers artistic director Kun-Yang Lin, the work features a sparse score and sound design by composer/sound designer Cory Neale, accompanied by projections by multimedia designer Jared Mezzocchi.

In creating the work, the company worked with the Interfaith Center of Greater Philadelphia to recruit community participants who engaged in story circles with the dancers and the project's multimedia and sound design collaborators. The story circles were structured by Kimerer LaMothe, a scholar working at the intersection of dance and religion who has written extensively on how the body can be a vehicle for spiritual practice.

Performance Schedule:

  • Thursday, March 22 at 8 p.m.
  • Friday, March 23 at 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 24 at 2:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Tickets are $20-40 and available online.
