In conjunction with the world premiere of Adapt!, The Wilma Theater will present an audience-led conversation with Adapt! playwright and director Blanka Zizka, composer and music director Mariana Sadovska, and choreographer Silvana Cardell. The collaborators will share insights into the creative process behind the creation of Adapt!.

This event is free and open to the public.

Adapt!, the first play written by the Wilma’s artistic director Blanka Zizka, tells the story of 22-year old Lenka, who has spent a year in a refugee camp in Germany after escaping from communist Czechoslovakia. Drawing on Zizka’s personal experiences as a Czech émigré to the US in the 1970s, the play touches upon themes of identity and exile, the idealism of youth, and the compromises of adulthood.
