The acclaimed English tenor Mark Padmore will continue his artistic collaboration with Jonathan Biss in the final of three project performances, featuring Schubert's Schwanengesang.

The final concert in the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society's series Departure and Discovery, The Voice of a Visionary explores the profound work of Schubert in his last year, featuring Piano Sonata in A Major and Schwanengesang. Performed by pianist Jonathan Biss and tenor Mark Padmore, this concert illuminates Schubert's break from convention to forge new compositional paths.

Departure and Discovery: New Directions at the Apex of Creativity is a concert series featuring three performances providing new insights into the forms of expression found in the late stages of the lives of nine great composers, including Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, and Schubert.
