The Crossing's Center-funded performance project Seven Responses will travel to New York City for two performances at Lincoln Center's Mostly Mozart Festival, following its Philadelphia premiere, June 24-25.

For Seven Responses, The Crossing commissioned 15-minute musical responses by seven leading composers, each created in response to 17th-century composer Dieterich Buxtehude's Jesu Membra Nostri, a series of short German Baroque cantatas that address the body of Jesus Christ. Composers include Pelle Gudmundsen-Holmgreen, David T. Little, Santa Ratniece, Caroline Shaw, Lewis Spratlan, Hans Thomalla, and Anna Thorvaldsdottir.

This series features two performances on August 21, held at 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
