Artists Ulysses Jenkins, Maren Hassinger, and Senga Nengudi discuss the numerous projects the trio worked on early in their careers and the nature of collaborative exchanges. Meg Onli (formerly the Andrea B. Laporte Associate Curator at the Institute of Contemporary Art) and Erin Christovale (Associate Curator at the Hammer Museum), co-curators of the Institute for Contemporary Art’s retrospective Ulysses Jenkins: Without Your Interpretation, moderate the online conversation.

Ulysses Jenkins: Without Your Interpretation is the first major retrospective exhibition of Jenkins’ pioneering video and performance works. The exhibition is co-presented by the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, CA, where it will travel in winter 2022.
