As part of the public programming for the Hurford Center for the Arts and Humanities’ The Contest of the Fruits, presenting partner Twelve Gates Arts hosts Bacteria Bar, a pop-up exhibition by Berlin-based artist collective Slavs and Tatars.
An opening night reception will be held on October 15 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Fresh ayran, a Turkish yogurt-based beverage, and snacks will be served.
The Contest of the Fruits is a multidisciplinary and cross-cultural exhibition and public programming series taking inspiration from a 19th-century allegorical poem written in Uyghur.
