Philadelphia Area Consortium of Special Collections Libraries (PACSCL) hosts a closing event and final listening session for Chronicling Resistance, Enabling Resistance, a discovery process exploring new methods for telling the stories of Philadelphia’s rich heritage of activism. The final session theme of “Sankofa”—a saying from the Akan people of West Africa that translates, “It is not taboo to go back and fetch what you forgot”—represents a constant practice of remembering. Listeners will hear how activists want their efforts to be remembered and learn how the historical record influences their work. PACSCL will share findings from the project and close the event with a tour of Sankofa Farm.

All listening sessions are open to the public.
