Pennsylvania Humanities Council launches the Chester Made Cultural Exploration Zone with a reception that offers a chance to tour a new pop-up “makerspace” created by Chester artists, and learn about opportunities to participate in upcoming Chester Made programs.
This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
The Chester Made Cultural Exploration Zone is a creative space that engages the community in the collection, interpretation, and revitalization of Chester’s underground, through programs with interdisciplinary practitioners in history, creative placemaking, and urbanism. Programming includes walking tours, performances, and pop-up “makerspaces” in which community members design prototypes that beautify, reinterpret, and animate vacant public spaces.
