Amalia Wilson, IF I CARE SO MUCH YOU DONT CARE, 2015.
For the fourth event in the seven-part series organized by AUX's fifth Curatorial Fellow, Katya Grokhovsky, AUX presents "Re-make / Re-build / Re-stage," with artists from Philadelphia and New York. Amalia Wilson, Tuo Wang, and Whitney V. Hunter are featured in this night of multi-narrative spectacle, hyper-created physical space, and critical interrogation of African American heritage and diasporic identity.
Katya Grokhovsky is a New York-based artist, curator, and organizer, invested in the exploration of multidisciplinary and multimedia practices that cross generations, genders, and geography. She holds an MFA in Studio from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, a BFA from Victorian College of the Arts (Australia), and a BA in Fashion from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (Australia).
